The Schoolsworks Offer and Core Values

Schoolsworks mission is centred around a culture of collaboration between staff, schools and pupils with the aim of ‘building children’s futures together’. We are focused on creating local, cohesive hubs of schools that know each other well and support each other’s improvement. With this in mind we aim to see all schools within the Trust improving, all children reaching their potential and all staff enjoying fulfilling careers. The offer we provide to schools wanting to join a Trust is an opportunity to work closely with a small group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about inspiring their schools and developing the best possible outcomes for their children. Schoolsworks provides:

  • Local school-based partnerships
  • High proportion of Good schools
  • School to school improvement model
  • Visionary and collaborative leadership
  • Commitment to develop excellence in school leadership and in teaching and learning

I do not hesitate in endorsing Schoolsworks Academy Trust and its Headteachers as they have established an outstanding school in Littlehampton which has significant social deprivation, with love, care and support for the families and community.

Father Stephen Merriman

Vicar, St. James the Great, Littlehampton

I very much welcome Schoolsworks plans to open new schools … and I have every confidence that their values, standards and professionalism will be shared in new school communities.

Martin Funnell MBE

Senior Officer, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service

Since joining Schoolsworks in May 2017 we have been overwhelmed with the support received; everybody has been on hand – from the admin and finance team to other teachers across the schools and the Board too. Schoolsworks is helping us all enormously – managing to challenge us and hold us to account in a positive and supportive way. As a Headteacher I am excited about being provided with the opportunity to further my leadership, school and education in general with others at such a detailed level. In short Schoolsworks rocks!

Kathy Lockyear

Headteacher, East Preston Junior School

The school has the capacity to support children with a variety of needs, both academic and pastoral. When I have talked with children and parents I know that they are happy at the school and the children are safe. The atmosphere throughout the school is one of calm. In every classroom. There is real purpose in the work being done. There is a real ‘buzz’ around the school and there is an enthusiasm about working in the school.

Roger Purdom

Chairman, Arun Children and Families Trust

We feel the school offers a diverse and inclusive environment, and we applaud the progressive ethos of the leadership and pastoral care on offer.

Martin & Zoe Duggan

Owners, Ticklemetoo Childcare

The local community and the needs of their children are very much at the heart of these schools.
