Pupils from all 7 Schoolsworks schools took part in the first ever trust short story writing competition this term. The challenge was to produce a creative short story about a subject or theme of the children’s choice. The winners and runner-ups across three age categories received book vouchers with the three outright winners taking home a £20 book voucher each.

In addition, all winners and runners-up have had their stories published in a special collection that will be available to read and enjoy in every Schoolsworks school’s library.

Chris Seaton, the Trust’s CEO, presented the winners with their prizes and certificates. He said, “We were blown away by the high quality of entries from across the Trust. Congratulations to all the children who took part– they created wonderful stories that were a pleasure to read.”
