Salary: £39,965 – £44,106 p.a.
East Preston Junior School, part of the Schoolsworks Academy Trust, is looking to recruit a new Assistant Headteacher for September 2019. The successful candidate will join the school alongside a new headteacher, bringing extra leadership capacity as the school grows to three-form entry.
The leadership responsibilities of the role will be decided based on the strengths of the appointed candidate alongside the existing senior leaders, and will include a focus on the quality of teaching, learning and curriculum. The post includes a class-based teaching commitment of approximately 2 – 3 days each week.
Our priorities are about activities and approaches which provide a positive impact on pupils’ learning, with a mind to ensuring that we minimise unnecessary teacher workload. The role will include opportunities to work with a friendly and supportive team in the school, and with colleagues from across the academy trust.
We are looking for candidates with a very good understanding of high-quality teaching and learning, together with a firm grasp of how to promote excellent behaviour. Candidates with experience of leading a key curriculum area or phase team are encouraged to apply.
