Our First Ofsted Outstanding Judgement at Rose Green Juniors

Rose Green Junior School in Bognor Regis, which joined Schoolsworks in 2014, has been awarded an Outstanding rating for the first time in the school’s history, following a two day inspection by Ofsted in June 2024. The outcome is a key milestone of our multi-academy trust, marking the first Outstanding judgement for one of our schools.

Rose Green Juniors was praised for its inclusive approach, high expectations for behaviour and positive relationships.

The Ofsted report shared some key successes for the school noting:

• The highly aspirational and ambitious curriculum
• A genuine buzz of enthusiasm for reading across all year groups
• The ambition for every pupil to exceed their potential
• Very well trained staff who have the knowledge and skills to implement changes effectively
• A deep understanding of the needs of SEND pupils with highly individualised support

Ofsted also noted how well the school and staff use external support and advice, and draw upon expertise from within Schoolsworks, to ensure that pupils are extremely well prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.

We are thrilled with this impressive endorsement of Rose Green Junior School. Our model of school improvement centred around small hubs of schools, which work closely together to share best practice and improve outcomes for children, is a successful one, and we congratulate the whole Rose Green Juniors team for this incredible achievement.
