Wednesday 20 July 2022 The Journey From Inadequate to Good - Reflections on Ofsted Downsbrook joined Schoolsworks in 2018, following an inadequate inspection as a local authority school in 2017. Since then the school has been totally transformed, achieving the rare ‘double-jump’ to Ofsted good in Spring 2022. Just Jeffrey, Head of School at Downsbrook Primary, reflects on the school’s journey from inadequate to good, all achieved against the backdrop of the pandemic.

Tuesday 14 September 2021 Trust Wide Summer Reading Challenge This summer we encouraged all of our schools to take part in a summer reading challenge, to ensure our pupils kept reading over the six week break. Hundreds of our primary children took part, reading and quizzing using the Accelerated Reader scheme, with over 450 quizzes taken and one child completing 12 books and 766,244 words!

Friday 29 January 2021 Rustington Primary School Launches Laptop Campaign Rustington Community Primary School, one of our family of schools on the south coast, has launched a community campaign to ask local people to donate laptops to support pupil’s learning. Rustington educates 600 children and hopes local people and businesses can help support children’s learning by using the school as a base for recycling any old or unused laptops.
